Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions we hear.

How does BCGC select its partners?
Every BCGC partner is assessed for licensing (where required), professional indemnity insurance, years of operation, service scope, and committee references before being listed. All partners also agree to the BCGC Partner Code of Conduct. We list managers in the regions and scheme types they genuinely service.
Does BCGC receive a commission from partners?
Yes. BCGC receives a referral fee from partners each time a committee submits a proposal request to them. That is how the platform is funded and why it is free for committees. BCGC has no role in the appointment decision, and the referral fee is not tied to appointment outcomes.
How are partners ordered or displayed to committees?
Partner selection and display order are based on fit for the scheme (region, scheme type, lot count, service needs), coverage area, and responsiveness, not fee levels. Committees can always see the full list of available matched partners and choose up to three to approach.
Are partners verified for licensing and compliance?
Yes. NSW strata managers must hold a strata management licence, which we verify. QLD body corporate managers operate under the Body Corporate and Community Management Act 1997 and must meet insurance and trust account obligations, which are also checked. Any partner falling short is removed as a partner.
How do partners respond to a committee’s proposal request?
When a committee selects a partner, that manager receives the enquiry details and prepares a tailored proposal direct to the committee. Most respond within 2 business days. BCGC is not involved in the proposal content. It is a direct conversation between the committee and the manager.
